As I’m trying to find the words to put on this page, it suddenly dawns on me that back when I was just a kid or even when I just entered high school I had nothing with computers or the internet. It looks like a totally different time from where I’m writing now.
So who is Wytze van de Belt these days? At this time I own several Internet Companies which all revolve around Internet Marketing, a profession I’m incredibly excited about. Before I start rambling off about what keeps me busy and let you in on my darkest secrets, let me start by addressing what Internet Marketing is exactly; as you might encounter the topic more often than not on my blog.
The easiest way to put it is just; getting qualified visitors to a web page and convert them into paying customers.
My career started in early 2005 when a good friend of mine introduced me to the concept of what is these days called Affiliate Marketing. Between you and me.. back than we had no idea what the hell we were doing, but we we’re able to make a very good living out of it.
Somewhere in March 2006 I decided that there was a tremendous amount of potential in this fascinating industry, and I walked away from an excellent management education, after getting a degree in Computer Science a year earlier. I have never regretted that decision and have actually gotten a lot of use out of the first year of my university education, where I learned a lot about Intercultural Management which helps me communicate with our overseas staff.
Today, almost four years later I still love working on comprehensive marketing plans, build and tweak pay-per-click campaigns, negotiate advertising deals, spoil myself with exciting business trips and facilitate innovate ideas to make the internet just a little bit better.
